I’m Hector Garza de la Garza, and my work is a chaos for other people. Sometimes they don’t understand that I am passion about more than just one thing, and I give my entire soul to those things.

I was born in the bosom of a lovely family in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, but at the age of 19 I moved to Santa Fe, NM. US. Just to follow my dreams and started to study film and photography. I spend the most exiting couple of years of my life there. I meet incredible personalities as Jimena Chowell and Sofia Auza with them I found my self and we made a film called “Lo Extraordinario” we won the first place award on one of the best known film festivals back in Mexico –EcoFilm– and some people from a film school in Vancouver, BC, saw it and they offered me a scholarship in VFS, so I moved to Canada at the age of 22.

 

I don’t know why, but in Canada I started to feel anxious all the time, to the point of thinking that I had cancer, so freaked out, I was like I am alone in a place where I do kwon not anybody and I returned back to Mexico.

 

I spend the most of my time doing film, photography and writing.
